Ready-to-ship (RTS) is finished inventory: sized, specified, already through our Hatton Garden workshop and London hallmarking where required. You buy what exists.
Made-to-order (MTO) means we build or complete to the agreed spec — metal, size, stone, setting. Most Amada MTO finishes in about 2–3 weeks, then marking and dispatch. “Most” matters. Complex handwork or specially sourced stones can run longer.
Neither path is morally superior. Calendar and specification tools. Diamond quality still sits on the certificate when certified. Metal integrity still sits on the hallmark — London hallmarks, GIA / IGI.
How to choose
- Write the hard date. Proposal, holiday, wedding band deadline — whatever cannot move.
